God Makes Surprise Visit To Local NC Church

Now, this is some funny stuff.
God Visits Local NC Church

I love what the preacher said, "You'd think the Creator of the Universe would give us some warning, then we could put it in the bulletin, not that I'm complaining."

Hmmm, I have often wondered whether the stranger sitting next to me in church was "The One." But I somehow think He will appear in a crowd, blending in, or maybe in a line at McDonald's. I hope He doesn't show up at my local supermarket. I am sometimes not gracious there.

thanks for comments! most of this is real stupid things that happened - however, anything from The Onion is a satirical piece, such as "God visits local church", which is obviously a satire..

on the Simpsons, when Bart stole the tank and wanted to blow something up, the preacher said "no, not the church - Jesus lives there!"..

Obviously, when you take a spiritual idea or concept and make it into a material reality, you've missed the point, hence the satires on people who do this, like hunting for a piece of Noah's Ark! (why do people feel the need to prove parables and metaphors? it's unnecessary and shows that they "don't get it", unless they understand that the gullible will fund stuff like this, so they're "easy pickins"..

From Pope Leo X: "This myth of the Christ has served us well" - so the authors of the myths DO get it, the "blind faith worshippers" still don't..

Truth

The truth is a mobile army of
metaphors, metonyms, anthropomorphisms, in short, a sum of human relations which were poetically and rhetorically heightened, transferred, and adorned, and after long use seem solid, canonical, and binding to a
nation. Truths are illusions about which it has been forgotten that they are illusions."
