The Anti-Gravity Pen

When the U.S. went into space, the ‘experts’ at NASA decided we needed an anti-gravity ballpoint pen that worked under weightless conditions. About SIX MILLION dollars later, we had one. The Russian astronauts simply used pencils! These work on friction, not gravity.

This is not true. This is a popular hoax. NASA bought the commercially available pens from the Fisher Pen Company for $2.39 each. No tax payer money was used for the development of the pens. The same pens were used by the Soviet Space Agency.
Maybe you're right, but in an era of $6000 toilets and $12 bolts paid to government contractors, and in light of the apparent infinite greed of capitalists, I'm thinking that 6 million sounds more realistic than $2.39.
I have a pen from the Smithsonian Institution that says otherwise, so I guess they scammed me to get my money!
Is there no honor left anywhere?
